What Makes A Good Horror Scene?

Come out on Sunday, October 13th and enjoy a fun night with fellow writers as we discuss “What Makes a Great Horror Scene?”

Get your tickets in advance by clicking here.

Is it the mysterious noise that we hear dead at night when we’re alone or the shadow we see at the end of a dark corridor?

Or maybe it’s the creepy figure crawling towards us?

It’s all of these things and more. The unknown is what haunts us, it’s these fears and insecurities we all have and that we keep buried deep inside our psyche. The real talent lies in developing a scene where the audience jumps out of their seats when it occurs. These are the moments a horror fan lives for, and a writer relishes.

We’ll go on this journey together and have a horrifically scary good time. The meeting will be held in the Capone Room (2nd Floor) of Mrs. Murphy & Son's Irish Bistro, located at 3905 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL. Doors open at 5:30 pm for registration; the meeting starts at 6:00 pm and will last until approximately 9:00 pm.
