Good evening CSN members and participants,
First off, I hope everyone is doing well in these uncertain times. As the coronavirus continues to spread, more and more people are being asked to work from home or limit their time outside. With the nature of this virus being ever-changing and so contagious, we feel meeting on Sunday, April 19, is not in the best interest of our group. We want everyone to be happy and healthy; no event is worth risking one's health over.
That being said, we are actively looking into alternate solutions, such as moving our talks and workshops to an online platform. We can't guarantee anything at this time, but our goal remains to host quality events even if they must be virtual to ensure everyone's health. We will make a formal announcement if and when we complete this venture. Ultimately, we would like maintain our original schedule as closely as possible.
However, if it turns out we can't switch successfully into another format, we may need to cancel our public programming until it is safe to resume. That would be our last resort, as we want to honor our obligations to our members and those who enjoy our programming.
Should our programming take a hiatus, we will extend those members with existing time on their account by the same amount of time the program was down. So if we're down two months, we'll extend members with current time by two months. No refunds will be issued, nor time lost.
Please be patient as we work through this new development. We will update our website chicagoscreenwriters.org and our Facebook page with new information as it becomes available. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact alesko@chicagoscreenwriters.org.
As always, we appreciate your continued support of our organization. Remember we're in this together. Please help each other out as best as you can, stay safe and healthy.
Best wishes,
Amorous Lesko
