By the very nature of the organization, we try to maintain a very informal approach to membership. The only requirement: participation.

The Chicago Screenwriters Network is a not for profit Illinois corporation. Attendance = Membership.

We generally meet the first Sunday of every month, 6:00pm, at the Lincoln Restaurant, 4008 N. Lincoln, just north of the Irving Park/Lincoln/Damen intersection.

Meetings include a guest speaker from either inside or outside the group, the rest of the time is spent in informal networking. We ask for a modest $3 donation per meeting, which goes to cover the cost of our website and meeting expenses. CSN is managed by an all-volunteer board with no paid staff. (Note that the Lincoln Restaurant has a $6.50 cover charge; most people order dinner. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is the restaurant's policy, and beyond our control.) Just show up at a meeting with a hearty appetite and a desire to learn and you are a member.
