Application Process

Step 1:

Pay for your script submission via the Paypal button shown below.

PLEASE RETAIN THE PAYMENT CONFIRMATION NUMBER! YOU WILL NEED IT FOR STEP 2.

Step 2:

Create and send an e-mail to contest@chicagoscreenwriters.org with the following information:

• The subject line should read "CSN CONTEST SUBMISSION" (all caps). This will ensure you receive a confirmation e-mail that acknowledges receipt of your application.
• The submitted script(s) should be attached.  Only PDF format will be accepted.  Please do not submit screenplays with title pages.
• If you are a student and submitting for student pricing, your student ID card images (front and back) should be attached in PDF format for CSN staff to validate.
• The application entry form should be completed in one of two ways.
  1. Download and print the CSN Contest Application Form (this will open in a new browser window), fill it out, scan the completed form into a PDF or image file and attach it, or
  2. Make sure all of the following information is clearly labeled and entered into the body of the e-mail:
     • First Name
     • Last Name
     • Address
     • City, State, and ZIP Code
     • Phone Number
     • E-mail Address
     • Screenplay Title
     • Number of Pages (in the screenplay)
     • Logline
     • Genre
     • WGA Registration/Copyright Info, i.e., registration number(s)
     • Other Authors (if any)
     • PayPal Confirmation Number (as provided by Paypal during payment)
     • How you heard about the contest

Three scripts maximum are allowed per writer/writing team.
