Chicago Screenwriters Network will staff an exhibit table/booth at the Expo in the Chicago Cultural Center on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, from 10:00am-4:00pm both days. We encourage all member of the CSN community to visit us at the Expo and to partake in the variety of creative programs and exhibitors who are participating at this event.

On Friday, May 13th (1:30-3:00pm), CSN President Dante A. Bacani will be a panelist on the Film + Media topic “Meet the Independent Film Organizations in Town”, taking place at the Gene Siskel Film Center (Theater 1), 164 N. State St., Chicago, IL 60601. Representatives from local film organizations will talk about what each has to offer local independent filmmakers and how to join their efforts. Filmmaking is a collaborative art form, and there are plenty of resources at everyone’s fingertips – if you know where to look! There will also be an interactive session on script coverage and a table read. The panel will be moderated by Kathy Byrne, SAG-AFTRA, and feature these additional speakers: Brenda Webb, Chicago Filmmakers; Craig Harris, Creative Cypher; Keaton Wooden, IFP/Chicago; and Carrie Hunter, Women in Film.
